Society znanost.org has organzed the annual retreat "Connect::Party" which was held December 28th 2009 in European House, Zagreb. More than 80 members of professional network Connect have had a chance to meet other members and to exchange news and ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. It was also an opportunity to meet new members of the Editorial Board of Connect::Portal.

The program "Connect" has been created as an initiative to connect Croatian researchers, professionals, educators and students. A remarkable number of 1456 members have joined the Connect community so far. "Connect" members can participate in discussions about various research topics at the Connect::Portal. Some previous guests of "Connect::Portal" are:
Prof. Pero Lučin, Prof. Miroslav Radman, Prof. Dragan Primonac (current Minister od Science and Education), Mr. Domagoj Račić (director of the "Island of Knowledge"project), Prof. Dražen Vikić Topić (State Secretary for Science) and Prof. Ivan Supek.
